There is a tendency to think that two kinds of people walk the world: models and humans. Models, the perfect creatures who were born this way, this gorgeous way. Models, the perfect creatures who wake up in the morning looking glamorous and everything they touch turns into glitters. And due to this conviction, it is rather refreshing to find out that models are also humans. Like in case of SUPERMARTINA, who just appeared in Marie Claire Turkey. Yes, she was born gorgeous, but as she could realize during the shooting mentioned, not everything in her life necessarily turns into glitters…
“I arrived two hours late, because the driver overslept,” says SUPERMARTINA, “but at least everything was ready and we could start working immediately.” Then, after having her make-up and hair done, she finally slipped into the sky-high heels. “I was glad to know that I could not walk in them without having to pay for them.” As can be seen in the editorial, her hair had to fly. The fan was, however, blowing too much and the model’s eyes started watering. The make-up and the hair were in danger. “The fan was later replaced with a man sweeping with a polystyrene plate. After a couple of sweeps, the plate broke, and thus had to be replaced with another plate.” Luckily, it took only five minutes to shoot each outfit, and SUPERMARTINA with the rest of the crew had some time to chat over the dinner they brought. After that, she decided not to be driven home by car, even though the driver surprisingly managed to come on schedule this time, and rather walked with friends. “After all, my place was really round the corner,” she explains.
The shooting was done and so was our model who, at the end of the day, had to wash the hair and make-up off before going to bed. At the end of the day, even supermodels are humans.
