The place we’re all afraid to go…
A memory – an abstract noun, a very concrete feeling. A memory – a slippery slope. You never know where looking back is going to bring you, and you never know who you’re going to meet. Sometimes, it might be pleasant and make you happy. Sometimes, it might make you regret. But as dangerous as our memories are, we keep them and cherish them as our own treasures.
Just as our memories are mysterious and fascinating, so is the new book of Walter van Beirendonck, the creator who was not only courageous enough to open Pandora’s box and look back, he had the guts to create a book out of it. The piece called Dream the World Awake illustrates his memories, the milestones of his work.
Therefore, we are more than happy that SUPERANDREY, or the “baby boy” as his sweater in the book says, is part of this amazing oeuvre. It’s brilliant. It truly is. Buy it, borrow it… Simply get it. You will definitely not regret.
Paris, the city of love, the city of fashion. And if you love fashion, there is nothing more to say…
As SUPERANDREY changed Milan for Paris, so did fashion. The gentlemen seen in Italy transformed into young rebels looking neat, yet not afraid of playing with clothes.
Acne, the show SUPERANDREY opened, represented a breath of fresh air with all the clothes looking rich, rich, rich, while screaming “fake, fake, fake” at the same time. Fake furs, leatherette, polyester. So did the collection designed by Kris Van Assche, who dared to combine workwear with more formal clothes in one outfit, or the line done by Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, the designers of Kenzo, who – inspired by Steve Jobs – created very wearable pieces embodying the confident and successful generation of young men growing up during the Internet boom.
A little bit more daring and let’s say sophisticated designs were to be found on the catwalks of Damir Doma, Bill Gaytten – the current designer of John Galliano, Wooyoungmi or Julius. Dark and somehow minimal. Nevertheless, they managed to keep the mood of preceding collections, and as a result, all the Parisian shows SUPERANDREY walked somehow suggested that one does not necessarily have to look super polished to be gentle.
Enjoy the pictures below, gentlemen, and get inspired.
The Milan Fashion Week is over. Don’t cry. After all, you finally have time to cool off and go through the shows again!
As the last collection in Milan was over, fashionistas all around the world could finally do what they love the best – sit down, cool off, go back to all the wonderful work presented, and think about it. And if you think about it, there was this one idea that created some kind of a texture between all the shows. This je ne sais quoi all the designers every season seem to agree on. This season, it was the idea of a perfect gentleman.
Be it the A-line cuts of Neil Barrett, the mixture of a higher class look and the workers’ outfits as seen in the Iceberg collection, the Moschino formal pieces contrasting with a little bit more relaxed and bohemian ones of Costume National, or Hardy Amies, the brand that was not afraid to add a touch of glamour, gentlemen ruled the city. Even with owls and foxes on their Burberry Prorsum knitwear.
The biggest surprise, nevertheless, prepared Prada. The show brought us right in front of the red carpet, literally, with the red-carpet celebrities. Gary Oldman, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jamie Bell. They rocked the house. But Miuccia’s purpose was not to show a perfect gentlemen. It was to make a parody of him. And with the formal pieces cut from denim, she succeeded brilliantly.
Finally, there was also something else that connected all the shows mentioned above. Or, properly put, someone. SUPERANDREY, walking all these shows, became a perfect gentleman himself and made us stare. Actually, he let us everything but cool off.
Dear readers,
it was everything but easy to pick the crème de la crème of your resolutions. They are thought-provoking, they are inspirational, amusing and absolutely lovable. All we hope for is that you will fulfill them successfully and unconditionally.
Thank you and good luck!

New Year’s Eve is coming, yay, everybody celebrate! Or not…
How come everybody is so thrilled about New Year’s Eve when it is the time of the year when you are downright forced to look back at what you did and did not, and to at least try to make up for it through some silly and most likely unreachable resolutions? Because what is the point of celebrating the end of the year and the beginning of the new one if you have nothing to change or nothing to wish for?
Therefore, let us ask you a favor. Since we are supercurious, we would love to be inspired by your resolutions and wishes. Write us to info@supermodamanagement.com what do you want to change and what do you wish for. The best resolutions will be published as the first blog entry of 2012. Your time is running…
Get inspired for the upcoming spring and summer. Just because it is not even Christmas does not mean it is not high time!
Every season, Prada takes us to a place that is as marvelous as the pieces themselves. This time, it was an industrial-like location in Tokyo Bay which turned out to be the best place to present the colorful collection for spring and summer 2012.That is because Miuccia’s designs too never fail to include sharp contrasts, the difference between wearable and unwearable, between the world of fantasy and reality.
As fashion reporter Tim Blanks aptly pointed, Miuccia Prada – known for being inspired by things she hates – most certainly is not a huge fan of golf. Her latest collection for spring/summer 2012 is the proof. You can simply love it or not, you can consider it wearable or not, but it is out there, and it is rather astonishing.
And to our great joy, SUPERANDREY was one of the models who walked the runway during the evening of Tuesday December 6th, during the biggest event this Italian brand ever held in Japan. Find him in the video wearing one of the outfits that are so incredible, yet so hard to describe.
From time to time, there is nothing better than forget about everything and just breathe the nice breeze deeply. You can always have summer, after all…
Almost unbearable lightness of being embodied by SUPERANDREY forces us to recall those hot summer days when the fresh breeze was the only thing blowing our minds, the moments of pure joy when there was nothing to think about, nothing to say, nothing to do, but rejoice. These memories – one by one, just as the waves – are somehow cooling us down. But have we ever really felt this, or is it all just a dream?
Use this dreamy video made by Mark Jacobson as your medicine whenever you feel blue. It is a perfect refuge beyond time and space.

Like it or not, each photographer has his favorite model. That is the reality. Bruce Weber’s might just be SUPERFRANCIS. And that is really something to like.
One of the most respected fashion photographers, Bruce Weber, was not a child like any other. “After school, when most of the kids my age played football, I spent time listening, performing and singing soundtracks of the latest Broadway hits,” he admits. Therefore, it must have been his dream-come-true moment when Marilyn Wick and her daughter Kimberly opened the door of their Costume World and he could shoot one of the five videos made specially for the December issue of Vogue Spain.
SUPERFRANCIS, our charismatic boy with unforgettable features in his face, was one of the lucky models who could enter with Bruce into this costume shop housing some of the most beautiful costumes in Broadway history that have been collected for more than twelve years.
The song accompanying the video says that when you are smiling, the whole world smiles with you. So just smile and enjoy the video shot in an ultimate wonderland!
Come with us behind the scene and see how was the shooting for SUPERLINDA’s first jewelry line!
We hear and read about it everywhere. A model turned actor turned singer turned designer… When the model reaches the top, there is no wonder he or she wants to try something new, a new challenge. And as SUPERLINDA has been on the top for a while, she decided to launch her own collection of jewelry under the Love Universe brand.
The collection – called Love Linda Vojtova – contains about sixty pieces of rings, earrings, bracelets and charms made of silver, diamonds, colored stones and precious metals. Of course, the inspiration was love. The love she has for her doggy, that is. No one should be therefore surprised to find the bone-shaped pieces and the dog paws in the collection.
Why accessories? “I always try to be a little bit fashionable even if I’m just going grocery shopping or walking the dog,” explains SUPERLINDA, “I love when you can dress something down and dress it up by just putting on a belt or different accessories.” Funny, yet elegant, the collection might have a friend soon, as SUPERLINDA adds that she would love to design watches too.
Let’s hope this dream will come true as well very soon. Meanwhile, have a look at the charming video documenting the photo shoot!
